It’s time to get permissibly nosy with the What’s in Your Bag Linkup. :D
If you don’t have a blog:
1) Upload your pictures to a picture sharing website, like Photobucket.
2) Insert the html code right into the comment. (If you’d rather do a link, that’s fine, too.) Hint: the html code starts with <a href but it should give you an option to copy the html code. Try to make sure that the picture isn’t absurdly large or it’ll eat my website.
3) Type away! :) (If you need help, holla at me in the comments section or on Facebook.
If you do have a blog:
1) After you’ve published your blog post on your own blog, click at the bottom of this blog post where it says “Click Here to Enter.”
2) Enter the URL of your blog post. For example, the URL of this blog post is http://www.nicegirlnotes.com/whats-in-your-bag-linkup
3) Add your blog name under “caption or title.”
4) Enter your email address (not displayed.)
5) For your picture, click “From Web” and you’ll be able to pick whatever picture from your post that you’ve uploaded.
6) Click on “crop” and you’re done-ski!
Feel free to add this sweet little banner to your blog post. It’s hyperlinked so your readers can click on it and play, too. :)
One participant (blogger or non-blogger) will win this Elliott Lucca Cordoba Satchel. Please read this disclosure carefully: By entering this contest, you will automatically be entered into the sak and Elliott Lucca databases for future emails.
You can find Elliott Lucca online, on Facebook, and on Twitter.
NGN disclosure: I have not been compensated for product placement in this blog post. Elliott Lucca did send me the Lucca Large Zip Wallet for review, and the Cordoba Satchel to give away. I previously purchased the Elliott Lucca Sena bag on my own.
Okay, my bag. Which I probably need to clean out. Ahem. :)
This is my Elliott Lucca Sena. I bought it last year, and I love it. The leather feels awesome, and the bag has held up so well (and I’m not gentle with my bags.) Elliott Lucca has incredible customer service and really good sales, so I’m a little bit of an EL devotee.
And all of the contents spilled out:
Note: I love my kitchen table and it is very rustic looking. But it also looks like tiny elves tap dance on my table every night.
Okay, I gots: two notebooks when I should only have one, my Lucca Large Zip wallet that I use every day of my life, a sweet little lacy bag from Lazy Mondays, and a huge makeup bag. I usually don’t carry a huge makeup bag in my handbag, but I had it with me for my trip to DC and never switched out to my teeny makeup bag. Little hair clips, a toy comb, an empty box from Twice Treasured that I love because she made it herself, mini crayon rolls (two, so they don’t fight in whatever restaurant we are). Some hair ties, a bobby pin, bangles, hair stuff from Lush, business cards, a Pilot G2 05, a mini tub of Playdoh, smarties, a wipe for my phone, ear buds (the ouchy kind), and keys sans a key fob (remind me to get one; I lose these at the bottom of my bag all the time).
Inside the mini bags:
Crayon rolls unrolled with well loved crayons inside. I use the Lazy Mondays bag to hold ‘allergy emergency’ stuff – a single serving of Benadryl, an Epi-pen, and an inhaler. I will kiss the ground the day my children no longer have allergies (and am hopeful).
Usually there’s a million receipts stuffed into this, but I just cleaned it out.
Two Essie nail polishes, cheapy mascara (insider tip: I buy super cheap mascara because I throw them out every month or two), tarte tinted moisturizer, tarte cheek stain, Nars blush, an eyeshadow quad from Smashbox, amazing moisturizer from Sprout, a little skincare boutique out of Brooklyn, more stuff from tarte because I love them, another bobby pin, and an eyelash curler.
In reality, on a daily basis, I just have the tarte cheek stain, Sprout moisturizer, and a lip tint of some sort in my bag.
{Edited to add: in the interest of full disclosure, I just found these in a zippered pocket inside my bag…}
A sample of body lotion I got at some event, fluorescent pink lip gloss, a baby hair clip, and some bobby pins. Also, I usually keep my phone in my bag, but I used my phone to take all of these pictures.
And there you have it. Alright, I seriously cannot to see what’s in your bags. :D :D :D
And pick a winner. :) :) :)
And maybe call Hoarders on one of you. >:)
Link it up, you can add through Saturday:
****THE WINNER IS LAURA OF HEYHUSBAND!****
Congrats, Laura! And thank you to everybodayyyyy for participating!

Fun! Thanks for hosting! I love those little crayon rolls you have.

Yo. The crayon rolls are a great idea. I have a roll for colored pencils for myself, why didn’t I ever think of a crayon roll for Aiden? Mom fail.

For the record, I have way too much stuff in my purse. But it’s at least sort of organized because of the design of the purse…or at least I attempt to organize it..lol :)
Love the 3 pockets!
Pocket 1-
Wallet, coin purse with tons of store cards and business cards, stray starbucks card, phone, receipt from lunch the other day, random quarter, daughter’s lip gloss, lots of pens, car keys, mints, fortune that I liked, favorite bracelet, and hair tie.
Pocket 2-
Business stuff! Catalog, brochures, samples, mini scent testers, and awesome business card holder with info for all of my ventures.
Pocket 3
The mom pocket. Diaper, wipes, spare glasses, two sharpies, farmers market coin, kid hair clip, $5 I didn’t know I had (woot!), Sea World passes, check book, neosporin spray, jewelry photo book.

Does the percocet win me the bag?

Yeah, sooo . . . my purse died the other day (I love my bags to death). So I had to dig this one out of storage and its dirty from my high school years of throwing it on the classroom floor. It does the job I need it to though. I intentionally hid it in the pictures so you can’t see the filth ;)
Here goes:
My purse holds my wallet, main makeup bag, and extra goodies makeup bag (I went out of town for the weekend). The pocket inside held the tampon, pen, comb, Mary Kay lipgloss, blush brush, MAC shimmer blush, random notes from my AWESOME Two Poodle Press (found on etsy) notepad, my Intuit Go Payment card slider, business cards, ring from AntiGenre (also an etsy shop), and an Eat Smart bar. I’m hypoglycemic so that last one saves me from fainting wherever my body decides to cause a scene.
My wallet is booooring. I don’t carry cash so it just has bank cards, store cards, gift cards, and papers, endlesssssss papers.
My “special” makeup bag is only used when I intend on going out somewhere with the hubster. It has cheap eyeshadows from Wally, glitter, more Mary Kay products, a couple of nail polish, Lancome products, more MAC junk, hair ties, and a couple of business cards from After Midnight Lingerie Boutique, which my friends own here in Texas. I hand those out to my brides ;)
Now, I don’t normally wear all of that junk but I do keep “essentials” in my regular makeup just in case. There is my Mary Kay foundation, bronzer, and concealer, Mark lip marker, lip gloss, and shimmering liquid blush, Revlon powder, powder brush, cheap eyeliner and mascara (because I too, throw my out constantly), and a last-but-not-least, a Bare Essentials lip gloss sample I picked up from Sephora the other day. I think that my bag makes me seem a LOT girlier than I really am. I took my purse with me today to run errands and I didn’t have a stitch of makeup on. Fail. HAHA.

Hmm..not sure why my pictures didn’t show up? I know I used the right code…bummer :/

I love this link up so much fun. It took me way to long to list everything which means it’s time for a weeding.

Oh, I am SO jealous of the one that holds a laptop, iPad AND iPhone! I want the iPad and iPhone and want them more than I want the haunted dollhouse that Jenny Lawson made. And that’s a LOT!

Ok. So I did it. I cleaned out my purse. I apparently haven’t done so in the last 6 weeks, based on the things I found in the bottom of my beautiful bag by Handmadetherapy (Etsy). In keeping with complete honesty and full purse disclosure, that includes ginger pills, Saltine crumbs, candy wrappers and Fruit Snacks (can you tell that was my 1st trimester? :P) So, aside from that, the contents are as follows:
- iphone
- Canon camera (ALWAYS have at least one camera on me)
- Shades
- mirror, vaseline lotion, poly-2-go, carmex, B&BW mentha gloss, lip liner, clippers, glass nail file, floss pick (all from the inside pocket)
- Handmadetherapy (Etsy) pouch – earphones, prego/allergy meds, eye drops
- Sanitizers (wet ones, one step wipes, one step foam, clorox wipes for shopping carts)
- Toilet seat covers (they’re not standard in every washroom in Canada like they are in the US)
- U/S req for my 18 week yesterday (Another boy!)
- 5 Welch’s Fruit Snacks
- Smarties (like M&M’s, only better. For my son)
- 7 Wintogreen life savers, 2 chocomints, 2 A&W suckers, 1 orange sucker
- 3 pens, including my fav purple pen from highschool! (that’s 1996 folks)
- Mini Crayon Roll (Same as yours, Roo! Amity rocks :)
- yellow micro machine mustang
- random coupons and receipts
- my ginormous wallet full of cards, coupons, receipts, cash, cheques to deposit, etc.
Did I miss anything? I usually have a water bottle in there, a couple more toys, granola bars, and my pelvis belt. For such a small bag it sure holds a lot! But I’ve been looking for a new, slightly larger bag in grey, black or silver…. maybe this will be the one? ;)
Thanks, Roo! This has been fun! Love, LOVE snooping in other people’s bags!

It looks like my odds are pretty good. I think the Beyonce chicken key chain and the Percocet should put me at the top of the short list!
