The Cute Stuff Sale – Homefront Style

So, earlier this month we broke Facebook by having the most awesome, sweat-inducing sale on the NiceGirlNotes Facebook page.  Want to do it again? :D

The next Cute Stuff Sale is on Friday, April 1st!  This time, I’m partnering up with the Homefront Artistry Team.  This team is made up of Etsy shop owners who are military spouses!  “We are all military spouses that support and promote each other while we live the military life!”  What a great group of women to team up with.  These women make sacrifices that I cannot even wrap my mind around.  This is a fantastic way to support military families stationed all over the world!

They’re selling their awesome handmade goods at 30% to 50% off the regular price.  To you!  And we’re bringing this to you again on Facebook.  :)  After extensive research, I found out what I’m doing is perfectly legal within Facebook’s Terms of Service.  I just need to tell you that Facebook is not affiliated with this sale in any way, shape, or form.

I’m working with 25 awesome women – we’re bringing you over 200 items!  Over double the amount of items sold on March 10th.  Whoooooaaaa.  Yup.  Want to meet the ladies involved?  Of course you do.  :)

1.  Nora of Lilliannelee: “My name is Nora and my 14 month old daughter is Lillianne.  My husband is in the Marine Corps and we are getting ready for a big move across the country- yikes!  I do special orders so contact me via my shop if you are looking for something specific like personalized items for party favors, gifts, etc.”

2.  Shanna of 2 Little Friends: “I am a 20ish mom of two little girls who are the best of friends!  I love the art of manipulation (the kind you do with your hands)!  I am happiest when I am creating and snuggling people with little toes!

3.  Kim of Hold It!: “I create fabric flowers and turn them into wearables for girls of all ages.  My slogan is ‘Fun, Functional, Fabulous’ and my items are!  I am a member of the Homefront Team and have been married to the US Air Force for 14 years.  Since I am surrounded by boys, I create things for girls.”

4.  Nicole of Nicole’s Homemade Treats: “I am a SAHM of two young boys and a military spouse. Candy making provides a creative outlet for me and acts as a stress reliever. I also enjoy baking, cooking, playing with my kids, reading, sports and working out.”

5.  Karen of plushoodles: “I’m Karen, happily married for 17 years to Steve who’s an electrical technician on A-10’s and a full-time member of the Idaho Air National Guard. I’m blessed to be a SAHM to four amazing kids (ages 15-5) and my 3 year old niece while her parents are deployed. I love all kinds of crafting, running, and baking gluten free.”

6.  Jessi of Two Seaside Babes: “We specialize in modern crocheted hats, accessories, and photography props for the trendy babe.  Included in our main product line are many styles of hats that fit preemie infants all the way through adults, including styles for both girls and boys.  We predominantly work with natural fibers such as cotton, wool, silk, and bamboo.”

7.  Theresa of hatherden design: “My name is Theresa and I am the wife of a Navy Helicopter pilot and mom to a 3 year old.  We’ve been married for 8 years and have lived everywhere it seems (including Japan!).  I started crafting a few years ago as a way to not only generate income, but as a way to keep busy during those long deployments and tap into a side of me I never knew I had!”

8.  Robin of Well of Creations: “Hi! I am Robin,  and I love all things funky and hippy!  For me, the more color and vibrancy in my life, THE BETTER.  I am a military wife and mom of 3 kids, two grown up and out on their own and Round 3 who is 5.  My hubby is currently deployed in Germany which gave us the opportunity to spend time in Europe for about 7 months last year.  I hope you enjoy the items I have to offer.”

9.  Leah of Reyna Red: “I’m a spastic redhead extraordinaire who specializes in making jewelry and hair accessories with marvelous modern mayhem.  I drive too fast, sing too loud, and dance like a dork when I think no one is watching, and I have a fuzzy cat named Munchkin with one crossed eye. ”

10.  Heather of The Nature’s Thread: “I am a stay at home, cloth diapering mother of a young son, and I run two etsy stores.  I love being able to spend this time at home watching my son grow up.  I make reusable cloths for your everyday use – napkins, unpaper towels, and baby wipes!  They are great for cleaning and removing makeup.”

11.  Alicia of Oki Roo: “I’m a Marine wife and SAHM who loves making adorable things for my girl!”

12.  Celia of HomemadeZen: “I love crocheting cute toys and sharing them through my Etsy store. I am also a proud marine wife, an engineer, a skier, a cat rescuer and cat lover.”

13.  Mandy of Simply Leilani: “In a nutshell, we’re a Navy family.  I am a reservist on active duty, my husband is regular active duty and off in Afghanistan for a bit.  We have an almost 12 year old boy and a 2.5 year old girl, and live in Hawaii, where I was born and raised.”

14.  Lauren of Our Hiding Place: “I’m a visiting nurse by day, DIYer by night – a hammer in one hand, and a stethoscope in the other!  (The hammer is for my patients…. I kid, I kid.)  When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my wonderful husband fixin’ up our first home DIY style!  Aaaand my favorite store is Home Depot ;)”

15.  Estee of SabtisDesigns: “During the day I am a SAHM to my 2 toddlers and infant.  During the night I am a jewelry fanatic and hand crafter of bridal and everyday jewelry.  My store summed up in 5 words: Classic elegance with modern vibrance.:

16.  Mary-Elizabeth of Bad Cat Jewelry: “I’m a stay at home mom of two boys.  I make jewelry in my limited downtime as a creative outlet in my chaotic life.  I donate 10% of my profits to Specially for Children in Austin, Texas in honor of my friends’ daughter who is a brain cancer survivor.”

17.  Shanna of Quite Crafty: “My grandmas taught me how to crochet as a little girl and it’s my passion.  My favorite thing is when someone falls in love with one of my items.  One of my greatest possessions is an old crochet hook my Grandma used frequently.  I love to make things with that hook and I know she would be so proud of me.  :)”

18.  Teresa of CutterGurl Creations: “I am a Coast Guard wife, Mom, and Quilter.  I love fabric more than chocolate.  We are currently stationed in beautiful Corpus Christi, Texas.”

19.  Jessica of A Stone’s Throw: “My name is Jessica and I am a Marine Corps spouse born and raised in New Hampshire but now stationed in sunny Southern California. I make bags, purses, and other cute accessories.”

20.  Colleen of Her Hero: “I am a proud wife of an EOD Soldier and a busy mother of 2 pre-school age stinkers. I love creating special pieces for the moms and sweethearts of our brave Soldiers, Airmen, Marines, Sailors, and Coasties.”

21.  Kayla of OliverWave Originals:  “I am a young lady that loves to create.  I love using items people wouldn’t use, re-purposing, recycling, and finding new purpose.”

22.  Laura of JewelryKaleidoscope:  “I’m a mom, a grandma and married to a Vet.  I started crafting as a kid, still loving it, also love vintage stuff, but can only keep so much.  The rest I like to pass on to other vintage lovers.”

23.  Mary of Banana Bear Boutique: “My shop is called Banana Bear Boutique and my name is Mary.  I’ve been crafty all my life, but in the past few years I decided to take my passion for sewing and embroidery and turn it into a business.”

24.  Kristin of Kristyn’s Kreations:  “I am a wife to a US Marine who is currently deployed.  Creating with my hands is my stress relief and something I enjoy a lot.  I love that this is something I can do while I am home with my daughter.”

25.  Deb of Lilac Ave: “I am a Submariner’s wife, and a mother of two.  I started my business, Lilac Ave, after my son was diagnosed on the Autism spectrum, and my husband began deploying; neither conducive to a corporate career.”

Lilac Ave is a shop that specializes in handpoured soy candles with natural fiber wicks, SLS free soaps, and natural, american made, eco-concious items.  Deb is the captain of the Homefront Team.  If her shop looks familiar to you, she was in the first Cute Stuff Sale, and her candles got amazing reviews!  I’ve had the great privilege of working with Deb on coordinating this sale, and I *love* her products.  Her ginger peach candles make my home smell wonderful and spring-y without emitting any weird black soot or smoke.  If you’re lucky, you’ll snag a candle or set of soaps on April 1st.  :)

R.  is for Roo. :D  That’s me.  If you’re new here, this is my website, and I love supporting Etsy shops!  I live in a beach town in Connecticut with my two little girls and good looking husband.  You can read more about me or visit my blog’s popular posts.

Here’s how all this action is going to go down and how you can be a part of it.

1)  “Like” NiceGirlNotes on Facebook.  This sale is exclusively to NiceGirlNotes Facebook fans.  The sale will be held directly on the Facebook page.

2)  Put Friday, April 1st on your calendar. We’ll be staying up late that night.  :)  The sale starts at 8:00pm EST and ends at 11:00pm EST.

3)  Get your Paypal account ready. You’ll need it to buy sweet homemade goods!

At 8:00pm, I’ll start posting pictures of items.  If you’re the first person to comment that you want an item, you’ll get to purchase it at that special price.  I’ll declare you the winner, and then you can post your email address.  The shop owner of that item will send you an invoice so you can pay via Paypal.  Here’s an example of how it works:

Some things to consider:

- No takesies backsies!  When you say “I want it” and you’re the first to comment, choo got it.  So choose wisely.  ;)
- Each price will include shipping & handling.
- There are 200 ITEMS up for sale.  :D
- The majority of these items are between $3 and $20!

Last time was so intensely fun.  Come hang out, shop a little, trash talk (BACK UP OFF MY PLEATED WRISTLET, HOMEY), stay up late, discover cute things, and spend time with fun people.  Namely me.  Hahaha, I’m kidding!  Sort of.
