I pick some of the best Etsy shops to participate in a sale on the NiceGirlNotes Facebook fan page. These Etsy shop owners agree to sell their merch to you at highly discounted prices. In the past we’ve had anywhere from 30% to 75% off a particular item.
It’s bananas. BANANAS. And also SO much fun.
The seller sends an invoice to the buyer, and the buyer pays via Paypal. Then, the seller ships. It’s beautiful. It’s actually also a TON of fun. For an example of how a Cute Stuff Sale works, check out the aftermath of the very first Cute Stuff Sale.
Since then, we’ve figured out ways to NOT break Facebook and also my blog. So, mark your calendars! The next sale will be:

Here’s how all this action is going to go down and how you can be a part of it.
1) “Like” NiceGirlNotes on Facebook. This sale is exclusively to NiceGirlNotes Facebook fans. The sale will be held directly on the Facebook page. This sale is within Facebook’s TOS, but Facebook is not affiliated with this sale in any way.
2) Put Sunday, May 15th on your calendar. The sale starts at 8:00pm EST and ends at 10:00pm EST.
3) Get your Paypal account ready. You’ll need it to pay for your awesome buys after the sale.
At 8:00pm, I’ll start posting pictures of items. If you’re the first person to comment that you want an item, you’ll get to purchase it at that special price. I’ll declare you the winner, and then you can post your email address. The shop owner of that item will send you an invoice so you can pay via Paypal. Here’s an example of how it works:
Some things to consider:
- No takesies backsies! When you say “I want it” and you’re the first to comment, choo got it. So choose wisely. ;)
- Each price will include shipping & handling. Extra charges apply for international shipping.
- There are 100 items up for sale!
- The majority of these items are between $3 and $20, and nothing will cost over $30.
- I’ll be posting a couple of special sale items on my blog, also! (So we don’t break Facebook… again.)

Yeah!! Although this time I won’t be able to participate (aka trash talk, cheering and doing laps after I win something, throw up some gang signs, complain that I have visitors as I wish that they leave, explain to my husband what in the world is going on and is wrong with me, and occasionally congratulate my fellow shoppers). You know the usual stuff! Unfortunately, I am not allowed to buy “want” instead of “need” until we move later this summer. Although I might just have to make an exception for Lilac Ave :)
